Sweet Memories_Martin Strecker

Eager music fans no longer have to wonder when international artist Martin Strecker will drop another hit for the masses. The wait is over as Martin has just released “Sweet Memories” an energetic synthpop mix with a purpose. Martin, who took a long break from music returned to the studio and laid several new tracks which have been spinning for global audiences. “Sweet Memories” is a strong comeback for the artist who toured Europe, performing with popular groups. “Sweet Memories” is a welcome reintroduction to Martin Strecker and the lavish sounds of Synthpop.

While synthpop continues to influences popular sounds, it is refreshing to get a view into its earliest flavors. Martin immediately grabs the attention of audiences with a reverberating “yeah” that soon gives way to an addicting drum kit. The percussive nature of “Sweet Memories” is punctuated by a friendly dance beat that is no overly powerful. The track puts out just the right frequency to get bodies on the floor without overshadowing the vocal performance delivered on the production.

Martin Strecker performs formidable dance vocals on “Sweet Memories”. Though it is no secret that Martin has been in the music game for quite some time, his vocals on this track are timeless. He shines brightly with positive vibes and exuberating energy. Subtle sound effects enhance Martin’s voice without doing so excessively. He has a youthful voice that reverberates throughout the track as he meanders through the lyrical content of the song. Martin sings, “a thought comes to my mind…” verses slowly drifting off to eventually introduce a slightly industrial sequence of instrumentals.

The synth-driven influence on “Sweet Memories” is strong and this helps to deliver unmistakable appeal to the track. The electronic layers on the track are formed in such a way that they are hypnotic to the listener. The song washes over audiences like a gentle wave, enabling them to focus on the collection of elements to include voice, music and message.

Martin shows off his songwriting skills on the song, giving fans an interesting perspective often forgone on electronic music mixes. He sings, “leaves dancing to the ground, tell me is it fall?”, “the howling wind at night puts me to rest” The lyrics on the song are rather heartfelt and also descriptive as Martin navigates through his thoughts on the production. Overall, the lyrical content of the song is uncomplicated and does not take away from the instrumental facet of the production but rather complements it.

Martin Strecker truly showcases his inclination towards the sounds that fans love. “Sweet Memories” is on the crest of the mainstream while still catering to the underground legion of electronic music lovers. Martin offers fans a subtle groove that is rooted in dance music and one that conveys an experimental style. The track is forward-thinking, delivering future sounds which are likely to eclipse time.
